Me, Myself and… #1

Let’s find out who’s hiding behing your pseudonyms… For this first interview it’s natural to give the floor to Morgane ‘Leopard Legs‘, leader of HYPEED’s top members!

Can you introduce your blog? When did you start blogging, How did you get into it?

My blog, Morgane-The Leopard Legs is pretty new – I started it in January. It’s mostly about my daily outfits, some sketches when I have the time to do it and sometimes about clothes I’m designing or DIY. I really like to do and share my « DIY »!

Any projects for your blog?

Lately, I don’t have time to post to much as I’m working on some new and exciting projects! It makes me sad though, because I really like this blog, but sometimes I feel that I want to share more than just daily outfits. I feel like talking about israeli fashion and designers! Nobody really knows about it, but fashion is great here, and I feel like I’m on a mission to make people realizing it! That’s why I now have another blog, fashionsnake-blog.com, dedicated to Fashion in Tel Aviv and around.

What’s your favorite thing about HYPEED?

I love HYPEED! I mean, this idea that fashion is not something that belongs only to main fashion designers, and magazines like Vogue… (even though I love Fashion magazines!!). I was thinking about this idea for a while, and I was wondering “why nobody’s doing that??” So thank you HYPEED, you made my dream come true!

HYPEED uses the following baseline: “Fashion by real people”. Could you suggest another baseline?

I love “Fashion by real people”, it’s simple but yet so strong! And if you really want me to suggest another idea (stop pushing, ok!!), I would say « Fashion by fashion lovers » maybe… or maybe not… OK, next question!

How would you describe your style?

Such a hard question! No rules, the key is to have fun and to feel confident! So it depends a lot on my mood, on « how do I feel today? ». I can be really trendy, sexy, classy, poshy, really feminine or tomboy… I own so many clothes and accessories, I think I can be whoever I’d like to be! And I never take myself too seriously, I mean, Girls just wanna have fun!

What’s (or who is) your current inspiration / obsession?

Don’t ask me why, but lately I’m obssessed with nail polish! Blue, green, beige, red, purple… I’m changing every day (after being stuck on red for years…) and Lady Gaga, because she wears what she wants and doesn’t give a damn!

Let’s be a little bit nasty… what has been your worst fashion faux pas? (Come on… everyone has already experienced a haircut drama or weird fashion trend influence, at least once!)

When I was 14 years old, I cut my hair really short, like, REALLY!! And… it was a nightmare! The 1st week after that, everytime I saw my reflection on windows in the streets, I just cried!! I experienced a lot of weird haircuts, like really long red hair, purple, dark dark black or really blond. Some of them were pretty good; others… hummm… less! But short hair was definitely a huge mistake!

It’s fashion war: Anna Wintour vs Carine Roitfeld. You’d be on the side of… Carine Roitfeld, for the french touch! And because she’s f****** hot!

Last question… Does look matter?

Look is how you decide to show yourself to the world! It’s the best way to express yourself, but as I said before, it would be a mistake to take it too seriously! I believe that you have the right to wear whatever you want and are not supposed to be judged on that, but hey! I’m a dreamer!

Bonus question: What question you’ve never been asked and you’d like to be asked?

«Would you marry me?» haha, just kidding!
